Simulations are useful only when they match the real world accurately. Apart from ensuring accuracy in the solver, it is also important to use accurate models of real world materials.
At Noumenon, we characterize various properties of materials
in our own labs, and at partners' labs. We have also built our own
characterization machinery when necessary. We work hard to make the
simulation match tests performed by the customer on the final product.
When such a match is achieved without "tweaks", you can be sure that
untested situations will be modeled accurately!
EXAMPLE PROJECTS
PIPELINE FLOW SIMULATOR. Calculates pressure drop across a pipeline given its design and the total rate of fluid flow. Apart from building the solver, we also built a front end so that engineers not specializing in simulations will be able to use the software to design and optimize pipelines for various applications.
