Panel Discussion at COMSOL Conference 2015

Noumenon was invited to participate in the panel discussion on 'Simulation for Everyone' at COMSOL Conference 2015.

Mr. Udayan Kanade — CEO Noumenon Multiphysics, was invited to participate in the panel discussion at the COMSOL Conference 2015 at Pune, India. The topic of the panel discussion was 'Simulation for Everyone'.

COMSOL recently launched its Application Builder platform for COMSOL Multiphysics. Using this platform, easy-to-use apps can be developed to solve specific simulation problems of the user. Apps are built by experts and only the parameters relevant to the design of a specific product or process are exposed, thereby abstracting the mathematical complexity of the simulation from the user.

Mr. Kanade explained how the Application Builder platform can be leveraged to make simulation technology accessible to a wider set of users. The apps can make the simulation expertise of an analyst available to everyone involved in the design and manufacturing processes across all engineering disciplines in the organization. Simulation can be performed much early in the design phase of the product by the designers themselves, without any help from the analysis experts. This can help to achieve reduced lead times and costs. Furthermore, in the age of personalized consumer products, a consumer can design a product himself according to his needs and likes, use the simulation app to validate the design and get it manufactured using 3D Printing technology — 'Democratization of Technology'!

Mr. Kanade further explained how 'Simulation for Everyone' aligns well with the vision of Noumenon Multiphysics. The expertise of Noumenon team in developing multi-physics computational models and specialized simulation apps for various industrial applications can enable designers and engineers to take right decisions to make better products!
