Simulations of reactors and other process equipment involves modeling of chemical reactions. The reaction kinetics is often coupled with heat transfer as well as fluid flow. Also, modeling of electrochemical phenomena is gaining importance in applications such as batteries, fuel cells, electrodeposition processes and corrosion.
