Description: A cylindrical pillar made of rock is slowly eroded by wind. The cylinder causes a “Kármán vortex street” of undulating wind to form around it. This scenario is difficult to simulate because of multi-scale temporal phenomena: the vortex undulations happen in seconds, whereas erosion happens over millenia.
