Flow Homogenization for Modeling Compression Sealing
A webinar on the use of COMSOL for a fluid structure interaction problem.
26 Feb 2015
Homogenization is the mathematical technique of bridging phenomena happening at various physical scales. In this webinar, we see how a problem in compression sealing of gases leads to a fluid flow homogenization problem. Homogenization studies performed by simulation of the detailed scale lead to simpler equations at the bulk scale.
COMSOL Multiphysics is used to perform the homogenization studies. In this webinar, we shall see many advanced techniques of COMSOL usage, including: moving mesh physics, multiphysics couplings, techniques for faster convergence of non-linear PDEs and extrusion couplings.
